Enter your email address: Search the Site: What We Grade PACKAGED TOY ITEMS CDA grades virtually all packaged dolls and doll related items under one of the following categories: Modern and Vintage Categories Commonly submitted and standard-size dolls are graded under our Modern and Vintage Categories. Modern Category is for those items produced 1990 and after. Vintage Category is for those items produced before 1990. Examples of Modern and Vintage Category items: Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, Glamour Gals, She-Ra Custom Category Un-commonly submitted or irregularly sized figures are graded under our Custom Category. Virtually all sealed dolls and playsets fall under one of our custom tiers. CDA also grades certain items which never came factory sealed, provided the items are in new and unused condition. CDA can also grade boxed items that are no longer factory sealed (i.e. the tape has been broken or come loose) as long as the boxed item has an interior sealed bubble and all the contents (paperwork) are still sealed in their bags.  Examples of Custom Category items: Barbie cars, Barbie Playsets, Special Edition Barbies LOOSE TOY ITEMS CDA does not currently grade loose dolls. CDA will NOT grade any toys which exhibit restoration. CDA reserves the right to determine what constitutes restoration. Examples: Resealed bubble, ink used to cover flaws.
